Menstrual Leave Survey

Menstrual Leave Survey Did you know that, in Australia, 88% to 92% of women aged 18 to 25 experience painful periods?

That's at least 1.2 million workers affected every month, with no legislated provisions in place to support them.

Union members from across the country are encouraged to participate in this anonymous survey about their experiences with the effects of painful periods in the workplace.

You are also encouraged to forward this email to a colleague or friend who might also be willing to share their experiences. The survey will take 5 minutes or less to complete, and we encourage you to share it with your colleagues.

“The most effective way of combating this unfairness is to create a uniform legislative standard allowing for additional leave days under the Fair Work Act. Women should be given at least 12 extra days leave a year, or one day per month."
