The Sex Discrimination Commissioner, on behalf of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission is conducting a review on discrimination relating to pregnancy at work and on return to work.
Professionals Australia has seen an increase in complaints from our female members relating to parental leave discrimination they have experienced at three key stages: during pregnancy, taking parental leave and once they have returned from leave.
We would like to hear your stories if you have been affected by what you perceive to be discrimination on the basis of having become pregnant and then taken parental leave, so that we can prepare a submission to the inquiry on behalf of our members.
If you complete our survey before Friday 29 November we’ll confidentially pass on your comments to the Commission on your behalf.
For more information about this important national inquiry you may wish to consult the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) website
