A key part of our campaign is to actively recruit more translators and interpreters. One way we will do this is by holding contact sessions on the first Wednesday of each month at the APESMA offices at 7:00pm, 163 Eastern Rd, South Melbourne.
Come along and call colleagues who may not fully understand the campaign. These sessions are great fun and help identify the range of translator and interpreter experiences.
Campaign management meetings
The Translators and Interpreters Committee meets at 7pm on the third Wednesday of each month in Brunswick. These meetings focus on monitoring and managing the progress of the Many Languages One Voice campaign.
Meetings with agencies
APESMA has now organised meetings with labour hire agencies VITS, All Grads, On Call and TIS.
These meetings will be used to discuss important issues such as superannuation, and to introduce each agency to the Many Languages One Voice campaign.
