Our Story
Professional Scientists Australia (PSA) has a long and proud legacy of making sure science professionals are treated fairly and with respect in Australia.
We bring scientists together – not only to work for better wages and to ensure their rights are protected – but also to help resolve the issues facing the profession.
We are a division of
Professionals Australia – a not for profit member organisation representing 25,000 members from twenty professions, including engineering, IT, translators and interpreters, pharmacy, and architecture.
So, when you join PSA, you also become part of Professional Australia’s massive membership network and extensive range of member services and benefits.

Our Governance
By joining Professional Scientists Australia (PSA), you will automatically become a member of the Scientists Division, which is governed by a Division Committee.
Being actively involved in your local branch or Division Committee is great preparation should you choose to stand for the National Assembly –
Professional Australia’s overarching governing body. It is also the first step to having a say in the direction of PSA, as well as Professionals Australia.
