John is a NSW-based member with a Bachelor of Science from Macquarie University. He intends to put the $500 towards the cost of undertaking first aid and 4WD training.
On how he expects the training to enhance his employment or career prospects, John said: “Many of the roles I am currently applying for such as Field Officer and Technical Officer require me to have completed first aid and four wheel drive training at my own cost. The field work will take me to remote locations where access is only achievable in a 4WD vehicle. The remoteness and demanding nature of the work requires all applicants to have first-aid training. I expect employers to look favourably on my application if I have completed the training prior to the job interview. They are each valuable skill sets to add to my CV and are likely to be useful in getting me to interview stage and hopefully gaining employment. The support of Professionals Australia in helping me achieve these objectives is very much appreciated.” Congratulations John!
