APESMA launches Member Service Charter

APESMA today launched a charter to help resolve members’ workplace complaints.

Director of Industrial Relations Michael Butler said APESMA’s renowned ability to help professions deal with difficult situations was a core reason why almost 25,000 Australian professionals had signed up to APESMA.

“APESMA is helping more professionals than ever before with workplace problems,” Mr Butler said.

“Last financial year alone we helped resolve almost 1800 problems at work.  These include things like performance appraisals, contract reviews, unfair dismissals, redundancy, bullying and information about rates of pay.

“And many APESMA members tell us that they became members because we are like insurance for their career – we can help get you back on the right track when difficult situations arise.

“We value every single APESMA member and we have employed a great legal team to help fight hard to help them resolve problems with they occur.

“This new charter helps both APESMA members and our team find the most efficient way to resolve workplace complaints.”

Mr Butler said the unfortunate reality is that not all workplace problems can be resolved.

“While we have the best resources available there are obvious limits to what we can and cannot do for our members,” Mr Butler said.

“I would urge all members to have a look at our charter to find out what we can do to help and what our areas of expertise are.”
