Is your pay below or above average for your role?

Anna October 7, 2020 in Latest News, Uncategorized 0

Dear Members,

Is your pay below or above average for your role?

One of our many member services is providing you with the CSOA Annual Remuneration Report. Our report not only shows you whether your pay is on par, it also shows you how your key conditions (like overtime, allowances, and redundancy and sick leave pay-outs) stack up against your colleagues’ at other mines/employers.

Sound useful?

With this info you can:

  1. Compare your package – The report will allow you to assess where your salary package sits in comparison to others in the same roles at other mines.
  2. Identify increased work hours – You can compare average working hours so we can negotiate fairer rosters or hours of work.
  3. See changes and trends in wages and conditions – It helps you and your union get ahead of the game and shows us where employers are trying to strip away conditions.

But first, we need the data…

To ensure the highest standard of reporting accuracy, we will be going the extra mile (literally) to gather the most comprehensive data for the report. This year, your Staff Union will be holding Union meetings at your site to survey members. Anonymous data from the survey will go into making the Remuneration Report.

And by completing the survey, you could win a $100 Boating, Camping, Fishing voucher! That’s a really comfy new chair you can sit in while you read the final report.

So that you can compare your pay with others in the same role, ask your site Rep or Organiser when your site’s meeting is scheduled for. Get in contact by emailing infocsd@pa.org.au or calling 02 9269 0688.

In Union,
