Sean Khan is a Victorian-based IT Professional who joined Professionals Australia in 1999. He intends to put the $500 towards the cost of undertaking a course called “Agile change Management” which is a follow-up to APMG Foundation in Change Management he is already undertaking. On how he expects to benefit from professional development in this area, Sean said: “I’m an IT management professional with over 15 years of head of IT experience in medium-size organisations with experience leading IT/digital-based programs. Over the years, the lack of consistent project and program management success across various industries has puzzled me given the number of approaches (PMBok, Prince2 and MSP) and well-documented reasons why projects fail. My own view is that the reasons centre on change management and so I have decided to retrain in this area. As an agile project approach tends to be the preferred method in medium-sized organisations, my Upskill application is for further training in this area. The Agile Change Management training will complement my Change Management Foundation knowledge and Managing Successful Programs certification. I intend to integrate these knowledge areas to develop an IT/digital transformation methodology for medium-sized organisations to support their growth. This will be the foundation of my future career direction. This professional development will be a great addition to my portfolio of skills and I appreciate the support of IT Professionals Australia very much.” Congratulations Sean!
