Congratulations to Kieran Kartun on receiving the 2015 Architect Upskill scholarship prize.
The committee was impressed by the articulate application Kieran presented and were pleased to offer him the award, deeming him a very worthy recipient who fully addressed all application criteria. Here are a few words from Kieran:
“I just started a new job as a graduate of architecture at a large international firm in North Sydney and am working in a design team of 3 on a $70M design competition for Sydney University, due just before Christmas.
I have begun working towards gaining my professional registration hopefully within the next two years.
My employer uses both ArchiCAD and Revit within their practice and I’ll be using the scholarship money to undergo a Rhino/Grasshopper course to improve my skills with the hope of moving more towards an architectural career specialising as a design architect.
With the way the industry is moving on from Sketchup towards the much more agile and less restrictive Rhino/Grasshopper packages I feel like this scholarship will be hugely beneficial to my career aspirations in design.”
We congratulate all applicants and wish Kieran all the best with his career.
